Schedules, Suspensions, and a visit to UP-Diliman

This week’s been a fun ride with a bunch of ups and downs—and it’s not even over yet!

(I’ll be off in a bit to pass by the Elephant BDSM Ball at XX-XX to watch the folks from KinkPH!)

Rope Jams: Schedules & Surveys

Over the past week, a lot of you have been writing in about having a hard time with the practice schedules. I’m sorry to hear it; initially, I chose Tuesday nights so that you could all still attend the weekend events/performances.

So, let’s make attending easier for you! I’ve come up with a survey to not just figure out a better schedule, it’ll also ask about what you want from Shibari.ph so that even the things we’ll post on the blog will be better for you.

To sweeten the deal, I’ll be choosing one lucky winner from the list of people who’ve answered the survey. They’ll win two (2) tickets so they can attend the practice session absolutely free!

Sounds good? You can fill up the (slightly long) survey here.

Rope Jams: Suspensions Last Tuesday

Man, oh man. We had a far lower turnout this week (sadface) and I learned the hard way that I shouldn’t get complacent with marketing the rope jams.

Thankfully, I was joined by friends Arixa Nina and Domina Chaise!

Nina and I managed to get some suspension practice in (with both of us taking turns as spotter) then all three of us explored a bunch of the different ways you could lock the single column tie before brainstorming yet another “Why-Domina-Why” scenario for an unsuspecting friend.

It could’ve ended there, but in what seems to be the Shibari.ph habit, we completed the night by going out for large bowls of delicious ramen—complete with ice cream for dessert.

Thanks for dropping by, guys! I owe both of you a bunch more rope hugs for next time! 🙂

A Visit to UP Diliman

Yesterday, Sean Regala and Haliya, both rising talents in the local rope community were invited by UP ASTERISK to deliver a workshop on basic rope bondage at the esteemed University of the Philippines-Diliman.

They went over topics that were key to learning the basics of bondage, but what left the best impression on me was the whole team’s effort and enthusiasm when emphasizing rope safety, communication, and the importance of destigmatizing kink and sexual expression.

I was lucky enough to be there and watch yet another entire room of newbies getting their feet wet. I am ridic delighted to see all those newbies sharing in the misery and stress of having uneven rope ends. Welcome to the front lawn of rope hell. :))

Lastly, here’s a shout out to some new friends: Cai, Felix, Maven, Bryan, and that one brave kinkster with the massively long list of pervertibles (you know who you are!).

I raise a glass to freedom and to universities with minds and hearts more open to the things that make us who we are.

Cheers!

Rope Jam: Next Schedule

Please note that we won’t have a Rope Jam next week! A certain kitty will be back in the country and wants to practice privately before their next flight out. 🙂

For those who are interested: We’re looking at possibly holding the next Rope Jam on October 25th, 2016.

Shoot me an email via: [email protected] if you have any questions. 🙂

(Yes, that’s a new email. Haha, hurrah!)

All the best,

Dee
